At Amik Outposts we adhere to a strict conservation policy.  This means all fish (Walleye-18″, Pike-27.5″ Lake Trout-22″) over this size must be released back into the water.   We are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to put this policy in place right from the beginning.  The gene pool in our lakes has never been harmed, it has actually gotten better.  Our guests catch and release an exceptional amount of large fish, all size ranges.  There are lots of trophy fish in our lakes that see minimal fishing pressure and our lakes are far enough north and have lots of depth so they stay active throughout the entire season.
