The Schultz family has been fishing with us for a long time.  But through the ebbs and flows of life, college, weddings, some years you can’t find the time to get away to fish.  This year they had an addition to the family trip.  Joe brought his new wife Katie along.  She had never caught a fish in her life.  That changed on Blackbirch.  She caught many fish and enjoyed her time in the beautiful north!  She did how ever have the most important job of a fishing partner….netting this!!!!

Joe caught this 43 inch monster of a pike. He commented how thick across the back it was. A massive fish!

Paul has always gotten great pictures and this year was no exception.  If you spend your time outside, they are all around.  Paul has a keen eye and a great camera!  Here are a few from their trip to Blackbirch.

I have heard from a couple of groups now how immature the eagles are for this time of year. This young one could barely get airborne before coming back.

There must be a pot of golden walleyes off the end of that island.
