The geese have started to move and the leaves have began to change.  When you see certain groups of guests, it helps you remember what time of year it is.   The Ketron party always fish in late August, and always do well.  This year they elected to return to Findlay Lake.  They fished here once before 6 or 7 years ago but needed no instructions on the map.  Most lakes are pretty simple if you have depth finder.  These guys had a blast as always and caught plenty of fish but they were deep.  20 to 30 feet.  There was some nice ones out in the depths though, 2-26 inch walleyes and a number of 25’s.  The pike were deep as well with 2-37 inch pike caught, one was out of 30 feet of water.  They also reported having a pike attack their walleye on its way to the boat, hitting it 3 or 4 times.  Greg could not quite get the net on it!  A few days the bite was very light, it took some finessing to get them to take the bait.

Here are a few pictures from their trip.

The fishing is great... but the more trips you make in the bush, the more you love just being there.
