The weather here in Manitoba and even north of Red Lake has been fantastic!  It has been very dry even though winter  has set in.  Some snow but not nearly as much as normal.  Temperatures have fluctuated from warm to cold each week.  Click here to go to our Facebook page and check out our 2011 photo contest, look at other photo albums, upload your pictures from a trip with us or give us a recommend.  Today is the last day for voting.  Which ever picture is in the lead will take the prize.  Add Amik Outposts on Facebook as a friend or follow us on Twitter.  The links are at the top of our home page.

We play hockey out of 2 towns, Eriksdale which has natural ice and Lundar which has artificial ice. After Xmas we play half of our hockey out of Eriksdale. Usually the ice is ready iin December, a little late this winter. Make straight lines and roll the paper lines down and water them.
