Hello everyone, and welcome to our blog. We are just getting the season underway and do not have any fish pictures from anyone yet. Those will come soon, I promise.

This is not going to be about only the fish, but about the Scenery and Serenity of the North. If you are fortunate enough to make one of these flyin trips, you know what I mean. From the minute I put the power to the 1000 HP engine until I pull the Otter back into the dock at our Base in Red Lake, you are on vacation. No Cell Phones, No Laptops, No TV.

You must try to take a minute to visualize and imagine, closing your eyes and hearing nothing but the breeze blowing through the trees, a loon calling off in the distance to its mate. As you open your eyes you see the reflection of the sky mirrored on the lake and you can’t tell which is the real thing. A feeling of peacefulness comes over you. Whether you work in an office or are a carpenter, coming to the North is Very Good for your Soul. You need to let yourself shut down and slow everything so you can enjoy life. There is nothing like sitting on the dock at one of our remote cabins and not hearing anything, absolutly no traffic in the distance, very few aiplanes ever go over, and no neighbors.
