We are in the process of filling our remaining holes and have decided to offer some incentive$ to our parties who book.  Simply look at you favorite camp and if the available date works for your party, fill out the info request form stating your interest in the date and we will let you know what we will do for you.  These dates will change once booked until we are filled up!

The days are getting longer!

It has been a crazy winter.  Very mild, fishing was exceptional and hockey was as much fun as it ever has been.  And it all seems to be ending at the same time.

Fishing is not officially over on our part of Lake Manitoba until next week but we recently got dumped with a foot of snow and the traveling with the 1954 Bombardier for 15 miles onto the lake will only lead to breakdowns which are never fun out on the lake.  So yesterday was our last day.  3 months, 5-6 days a week, I have a great tan…on my face.  We fed a lot of people some tasty walleye and perch somewhere.  I love it out there.

Hockey was great this winter.  A good bunch of kids who improved tremendously as the year went on.  My daughter Maija, the only girl on the team, was the penalty minute leader on the team by a long shot with 75 minutes, but also one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle.  We ended up 6th in a 10 team league and won the first round of playoffs and were up against the 1st place team in the 2nd round.  We did not have big enough horses to pull it off and lost in round 2.  It is weird that I spend all day on a sheet of ice on the lake and then volunteer for 4 days a week and had some of my fondest memories on a sheet of ice.

Here are a few pictures from my travels on the Lake.
