We had unstable weather for a long time from the end of June until recently.  The water temperature is still in the 60’s most of the time.  The water levels are on their way down up north as most of the rains that the southern parts of NW Ontario received, we did not.  No fires as of yet, we have had timely rains and cool nights to keep them at bay, but the forecast is for warm and dry for the next week.

The real big walleye(28 plus) have been quiet.  Countless walleye up to 25-26 inches, and the numbers have been outstanding!  Many of our fishermen who have been with us for a very long time have come out saying that there were stretches where the fishing was unreal, THE BEST FISHING I HAVE EVER HAD.  We here that all the time from new fishermen who experience it for the first time.  It is always good to hear that from qualified guys!

Big pike are still hanging out with the walleye for the most part, and feeding on them.  Lots of pike on walleye attacks have been reported and a few wouldn’t give up lunch until they got into the boat.

Here are a few pictures from the Lange’s who fished at Cobham Daniel last week.
