It was another busy weekend of moving people to and from the camps.  Everyone was happy, happy, happy.  Fishing overall last week was awesome once again.  Numbers were excellent on most lakes and the size of the fish was too.  Many Trophy fish being caught and released throughout all of our lakes.  They were calling for rainy weather each day but it held off until Sunday night after everyone had been moved.  It feels good to have Mother Nature give us a hand once in awhile.  Last weekend we were delayed by weather in some way for 3 days in a row.  We had some great sunrises…

The Stanley party made their annual return to the Cobham River last week and reported fishing being tougher than normal… only 100 fish per boat per day average.  They did well on the size though.  Here is Bob with one of the 40 plus inch Pike they caught and released.

The Laska party have been fishing the North for many years and have found their home with us.  They usually try to go to a lake at least 2 times and this was their second trip to Cobham Morley.  They did great last time and they duplicated that again last week.  “The fish were everywhere”  They caught a lot of nice fish including a 41, 40 and a 39.5 inch Pike.  Here are a couple pictures.

It can be tough to make a full day of fishing with Grandpa.  If you are tired, just take a nap.

Here is Ted showing his grandson how it is done!  They caught some nice fish on Shearstone last week and had some times where you could hardly get your jig to the bottom before you had another one.  Dad, Grandpa and Hunter in one boat must have be wild!

Each Group of fishermen return from the outposts with many stories to tell and a list of big fish they have caught.  I can not post all of the big fish pictures but will be adding a photo album to each camp during the summer and adding all of the big ones and great sights like this one from Cobham Morley.

I don`t want to forget about the Darsnek party.  They have fished all of our lakes and are on their second round now!  They returned to Vee lake and had one of their best trips yet!  Many Big Pike and some fast fishing.   Penis cove was again the best spot on the lake.  Furious action at times,  ontheir last day they caught fish like mad until lunch, came in for a quick bite to eat and caught fish for the whole rest of the day!  There was no quiet time that day, just fish after fish!  What an awesome way to end a great trip.  Their biggest fish for the trip was 2-42, 41 inch Pike and many big walleyes- 25,24,and a number in the 23 inch range.  Jack also caught a beaver!  He thought he had the biggest northern pike on earth but it proved to be a bit hairy for a pike.  They also had many times where huge pike attacked their walleye on the way to the boat.
