It has gone from winter to summer like temperatures here in Red Lake.  I have heard that up north there is only 12 inches of ice and around Red Lake anywhere from 16 to 28 inches .   The forecast is for great weather.  70’s and sunny.  A good hard rain would be much appreciated to help the ice along but the ice will simply melt away with temps like this.  The river in front of our base is open and I expect we will have many neighbors parking airplanes at our dock soon.  Hopefully I will be back in the Otter by the end of the week.
