The winter has flown by and now the days are getting longer once again. You start to think about getting outdoors and being with Nature. Fishing Season is coming back, don't you worry. There is just that many more Trophy fish for you to catch in any of our Premier Lakes. If you do not have dates booked yet, please contact us as there are not many to choose from.
Here are some tips on keeping your weight down.
Each person in your group needs to be accountable for their own personal gear. You should have 1 suitcase or duffel bag or backpack for personal gear including clothing, 1 sleeping bag, 1 tackle box and 1 small cooler for the boat. A total of 4 items per person and that should be it for a total weight of 60 pounds per person. The remainder of the weight is allocated for your portion of the food.
Fishing Tackle. When coming to Red Lake to fly out to one of our Outposts, you do not need a 40# tackle box. All that is needed is a small soft-sided tackle box with pockets and 4 trays inside. One item we would strongly recommend is a good pair of Pliers that can cut a hook close to the skin. If you or someone in your party gets "caught", most times it is fairly simple to cut the barb off of the hook and pull the hook out, depending which part of the body you are hooked. Need Power?
We are proud to offer you the convienience of regular power at each of our Premier Outposts with the addition of Honda 1000 watt generators. This will enable you to recharge batteries, run a sleep apnea machine, or listen to a satellite radio. This will be a nice addition to our Outposts for you to enjoy.
Remember when you are planning your trip that you will have charging capabilities for items such as camcorders and cameras as well. We greatly appreciate all of the pictures submitted to us and can always use more. Thank You!
Trophy Walleyes!!!
Thousands of Trophy Walleyes have been resting up all winter, getting bigger for you to Catch, take a picture to remember it by and Release this summer.
Remember that fishing is EASY at Amik Outposts, a small tackle box with a variety of lures including mostly Jigs, Powerbait, and Little joe spinners for Walleye and Rappala's and your favorite spoons for those MONSTER Northerns is all that is needed.
